      An experimental investigation was carried out to compare forced air convection heat exchange characteristics of a continuous straight fin heatsink and another with aligned strip fins, both of the same dimensions, made of aluminum. Laboratory tests were conducted under steady state conditions with heatsinks mounted on a rectangular duct without any gap. The obtained results allowed the comparison between pressure drop and thermal resistance between the two heatsinks.
