Sabuk Nusantara 78 GT 2087The responsibility and job descriptions are :- One of the critical tasks performed by the chief officer is the accountability of the stability of the ship.- Responsible for the maintenance of the ship’s hull and accommodation.- All the life-saving and fire-fighting appliances of the vessel come under the responsibility of the chief officer. even though this is a 3rd mate's responsibility, all the commands are under the Chief officer.- The duties include the administration task of scheduling and distributing work to the deck crew.- Responsible for garbage management for the deck and accommodation part of the ship.- To look after supply, overtime, cost control records, purchase orders, requisitions, and other paperwork on behalf of shore management.- Maintenance of equipment is the Chief Mate's responsibility as well as the cleanliness of the vessel. The cosmetic appearance of the ship is also under my control, the vessel got a one-time performance, one top for passenger ticketing, and the 2nd top of the cleanness vessel all over the PELNI's vessels.- Keeping the 0400/0800 & 1600/2000 bridge watch, must adhere at all times to the requirements of the International Regulations for the Prevention of Collisions at Sea.- In charge of the ballast and de-ballasting operation done on board.- Build up coordination with other departments and take part in conflict resolution such as technical and electro departments.
