In 1976, Martha began her film career in New York as an assistant auditor on the NBC mini-series, The Drain Curse. In 1980, she worked on the film Ragtime, along with Dino de Laurentiis. In 1983, they established the Dino de Laurentiis film company. Together, they have produced over 30 feature-legnth films; in addition, Martha has devoted herself to several not-for-profit causes, with a sharp focus on causes promoting female leadership and the support of at-risk mothers and children.
