      Responsible for motivating the feasibility of capital expenditure, stay-in-business (SIB) projects, to various levels of Anglo American Platinum and Anglo American Plc boards, through the diligent application of the IDM process, ensuring objectives meet corporate and business unit strategies. Thereby seeking project vote approvals, in order to provide safe, consistent and continual delivery of platinum group metals to the market for the benefit of all our stakeholders. Worked at Waterval Smelter Anglo American Platinum as the Section Engineer responsible for the Slag Cleaning Furnace. The role involves a 2.13.3.1 legal appointment to ensure legal compliance, maintenance planning and strategy, asset management, defect elimination, asset tactics, projects, reliability engineering, shutdown planning and execution, etc. Currently rebuilding the entire section including feed system, furnace, electrical reticulation, offgas, and granulation systems. Worked full-time at Anglo American Platinum, working toward getting my GCC qualification by completing my Annexure E, in line with the DMR requirements. As well as acted in various supervisory and managerial positions ranging from Foreman to Section Engineer. Also worked on side projects for the operation. From 2010 to 2013, I spent 2 months per year doing vacation work at Anglo American's operations, involved in project work. Projects included 'Investigating the effect of implementing higher efficiency motors' in 2011 and 'Water management and saving solutions' in 2012. I was working as an exposure year employee, gaining exposure and experience in the mining industry.
