  Station Manager, based in Dornoch, Sutherland, in the Highlands. Working closely with and supporting colleagues at six stations, Dornoch, Golspie, Helmsdale, Lairg, Bonar Bridge and Durness, I have a very large area covering some of the most stunning landscapes in the UK. With the A9 and the North Coast 500 prominent in the area, road safety is always a priority, along with vulnerability in the community and social isolation.Working to support the Local Outcome Improvement Plans and to get the Local Area Plans integrated, I have the opportunity to work closely with a number of our key partners, including Police Scotland, NHS Scotland, High-Life Highland, Highlands Council amongst many others.Ensuring that the Local Plans are delivered and working to ensure that the Scottish Fire and rescue Service remains one of the key partners in terms of service delivery. Show less LALO and Community Safety Officer responsible for Dumfries and Galloway, my key role is partnership engagement and primarily looks at new initiative, and projects to develop key partnerships to reduce deaths and injuries through accidental fires in the region. Working as part of a Community Action Team I have resposibility for the implementation of policies and procedures and leading a small but very dedicated team, working alongside operational crews to deliver key safety messages and engagement to all members of the community, with particular focus on the more vulnerable families and housholds in Dumfries and Galloway Show less
