The aim was to streamline the PBS creation process, which is vital for diagnosing and monitoring blood-related diseases. This device aimed to reduce the laborious and expertise-dependent process of making PBSs in diagnostic laboratories by using hemoglobin concentration for standardization, ensuring uniformity across samples. The project was awarded the Best Innovative Project at the 28th AKMLSO (Association of Kenya Medical Laboratory Scientific Officers) Scientific and Exhibition Conference. Show less

  Project Lead - Flood Detection and Water Quality Monitoring SystemI am currently leading the development of the Water Level Monitoring and Alert System, an innovative approach to river detection and water resource management. This project utilized advanced sensor technology and efficient communication protocols. The system integrates a sensors, LEDs, and a buzzers to provide real-time water level measurements and alerts. The sensors measures the water surface, and LEDs indicate water levels with green, yellow, and red lights for normal, caution, and danger statuses, respectively. An audible alert via the buzzer notifies observers of critical water level changes.Additionally, the system connects to an online server via the MQTT protocol for remote monitoring and data analysis. The online dashboard displays water levels over time through graphs and gauges that mirror the LED indicators on the physical device. This integration ensures consistent situational awareness both locally and remotely. This project highlights the potential of combining sensor technology, real-time data communication, and online monitoring to enhance water resource management and environmental monitoring.
