I was on a one year contract as Senior Legal Counsel in the Property Development Team. The Property Development Team is the team responsible for dealing with all problem sites in the company portfolio, which ranges from dealing with difficult landlords in difficult negotiations to endeavouring to save sites at risk or source and document alternative sites. It is also responsible for dealing with applications for consent for works from its customers, for negotiating additional land near our current towers and documenting that tenure and for managing and documenting all tenure renewal documentation. Crown Castle's portfolio consists of over 1600 sites throughout Australia.I was responsible for all legal advice to the Property Development Team on a range of largely property related issues as well as corporate compliance.
