  Duties include management and supervision of administrative office staff, preparation and tracking of fire and EMS budgets totaling $5.2M, management of all department worker's compensation claims. Oversee all documents created by the department, including fire reports, EMS reports, and all general correspondence. Conducts monthly, quarterly and annual analysis of departmental responses for times, participation, and incident types. Prepare all monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for local, state and federal distribution. Maintains all personnel files and ensures file maintenance as required by Georgia Firefighter Standards and Training Council and Georgia Office of EMS. Serve as department grant manager for both state and federal grant awards. Assist Fire Marshal Bureau with all public education activities including school, church, and civic events, Fire Safety House tours, and station tours. Responsible for department child passenger safety program and serves as liaison to Safe Kids Walker County. Additional responsibilities include presenting at executive meetings, preparing meeting minutes, agendas, grant writing, preparation of departmental Standard Operating Guidelines and Protocols, and coordination of multiple Chief Officer's schedules.   Child Occupant Safety Project, funded through the Governor's Office of Highway Safety. In this role, I manage a team of 12 to support statewide activities targeted at reducing the rate of injury/death for child occupants due to motor vehicle crashes. The program provides education with equipment distribution to caregivers with low income; training to professionals including public safety, public health, and others; transportation evaluations for children with special healthcare needs; outreach/awareness education to non-English speaking populations; and certification/recertification training for Child Passenger Safety Technicians and Instructors across the state. I am responsible to author annual the program grant funding request, totaling more than $1.4M. Direct management work includes allocation of pop-up workloads, performance reviews for 11 staff, and all necessary training and travel documentation and approval. Show less
