  I provided accounting and bookkeeping services to a range of clients, including sole-traders, partnerships and limited companies. This included year-end accounts; bookkeeping; VAT calculations and VAT returns.I really enjoyed my time as a freelance accountant. It was very rewarding to be able to work directly with clients and help them to achieve financial success. This was one of my key inspirations for founding Whyfield.

  This was a highly varied role and included tasks such as producing and monitoring company budgets; reviewing the status of projects; overseeing the production of monthly management accounting reports; managing the credit control function; monitoring costs; creating accounts; producing balance sheets; creating cash flow forecasts and running a busy team of staff within the office.Naturally, this taught me a lot about the specialist needs of the construction industry, coordinating multiple projects and also, managing a team of staff.   I lead the team at Whyfield. This involves a diverse range of tasks, such as creating proposals for new clients; hunting down the most talented, dedicated and inspirational staff to join our brilliant team; training and mentoring; managing organisational compliance and continuously working to improve the service that we offer.I still love to carry out accounting and finance work. This includes the provision of specialist management accounting advice in areas such as cash flow, budgeting, strategic planning and more. A key part of my role involves working directly with clients to help them to achieve their financial goals. I also offer specialist business growth advice and support.The business has grown significantly within the last 8 years.
