      Assistant project manager

In my role, I have focused on ensuring seamless project execution and regulatory compliance throughout all phases of construction. Collaborating with the Resident Engineer (RE), I prepared and submitted critical documents and drawings for municipal permits and planning approvals. I worked closely with key government bodies, including the Electricity Distribution Directorate (EDD), Water Distribution Directorate (WDD), Civil Defense, and the Sewage Directorate, to arrange inspections and secure necessary approvals for contractors’ on-site work.Planning was a cornerstone of my responsibilities. Partnering with the contractor’s planning engineer, I detailed site activities, set measurable targets, and forecasted completion dates based on key performance indicators (KPIs). I monitored progress against the baseline program and ensured alignment with project goals. My technical expertise allowed me to review and assess contractor submissions, such as shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements, ensuring adherence to project requirements, codes, and standards. I also addressed technical challenges by preparing reinforcement details, sectional drawings, and on-site sketches as needed.I often represented the Resident Engineer in meetings, fostering collaboration among team members and external stakeholders. This included processing contractor payment applications by verifying quantities of completed work and conducting factory and quarry visits to ensure compliance with QA/QC requirements.Through effective planning, technical oversight, and stakeholder coordination, I consistently ensured that projects progressed efficiently, maintained quality, and met regulatory and contractual obligations. Project manager

In my career as a Project Manager and Resident Engineer at Gulf House Engineering, I’ve been at the heart of driving project success by actively collaborating with key partners, contractors, and government agencies. One of my primary goals has always been to ensure that projects stay on track in terms of scope, budget, and timelines. I remember a particularly challenging project where a detailed risk analysis and a close partnership with planning leads were critical in preparing and implementing effective mitigation strategies.Overseeing contract administration has been another significant part of my role. I’ve managed tasks like preparing and assessing Extension of Time (EOT) claims and issuing comprehensive project progress reports to employers. These reports provided clear tracking of milestones, delay analysis, and corrective measures that ensured adherence to project timelines. Disputes and bottlenecks are inevitable in complex projects, but I’ve taken a proactive approach to resolving these. Whether it’s closing scope gaps or facilitating smooth execution, I’ve been hands-on in addressing challenges head-on.Regular site walks and progress meetings with stakeholders have allowed me to maintain a direct line of communication, ensuring transparency and alignment. I’ve also worked closely with cost consultants to evaluate tender submissions, manage provisional sums, and release funds based on monthly progress payment applications.Collaboration with engineering and architectural teams has been vital to resolving onsite technical issues. By monitoring risks and progress alongside planning leads, I’ve ensured that corrective actions are not just planned but effectively implemented. Each project has been an opportunity to lead, learn, and deliver outcomes that exceed expectations, and this hands-on, collaborative approach has been my hallmark throughout.
