      I was chosen as the 2nd hire, assisting in the development and validation of next generation sequencing product, Cardio Gene Scan (CGS), the first commercially assigned assay of its size and type. I served a crucial role in partnering with LabCorp to create assays to detect mutations in MMR genes for the diagnosis of hereditary nonpolyposis colon cancer (HNPCC), serving as a critical component of the decision by LabCorp to acquire Correlagen. I leveraged my natural leadership skills to mentor 9 direct reports including technologists, PhD scientists, regulatory and automated specialists to position organization as an industry leader in turnaround time.       Throughout this role, I pioneered the growth of CLIA lab operations through recruitment and direction of 30 personnel tasked with performing next generation testing and reporting. I secured numerous state approvals in MA, NY, RI, MD, FL, CA, and PA as well as CLIA and CAP accreditations.
