  As Jr. Projectmanager I was given the task of realizing a floating dock construction for Icon Yachts in Harlingen. A challenging project in itself since the engineering principles on which this construction is based were up to that point one of a kind. It has been one of the biggest learning processes in my life. The process was intensive and all aspects of project management and engineering challenges came together to create something special.   As part of an intensive traineeship program offered within Boskalis, 3 assignments have to be fulfilled in which the trainee is offered to experience and actively partake in a broad range of Boskalis activities and in between follow a personal development plan to assess, track and develop the employees personal skills. Performance reviews are done after each assignment in collaboration with managers and HR to find areas to improve. This whole process has been very meaningful helping me develop my professional career thus far. Here is short summary of the activities and roles I have partaken in during this program.Assignment 1 (6 months) : Engineering phase of a motion compensated pile gripper frame used in the current offshore windfarm foundation projects. In this project I have been active as role of Project Engineer. I was stationed for this project in the main offices in Papendrecht, Netherlands.Assignment 2 (6 months) : Execution phase of the Manila international airport (MIA) dredging project in the Philippines. In this project I have been active as Technical Superintendent on location solving the problems that one can expect in a challenging environment. I was stationed for this project in Manila, Philippines.Assignment 3 (6 months) : Mobilization of the Bokalift 2 for the offshore windfarm project in the US (Southfork wind). In this project I have doubles as partly project technical superintendent in the mob phase in Singapore as well as continuing as technical superintendent for the vessel in the Netherlands followed after. I was stationed for this project in Singapore as well as the Netherlands.In between assignments there were 2 weeks (6 weeks in total) of personal development activities to development yourself to complement the practical experiences gained in the assignments to better the my overall professional performance.
