  I was the Finance Controller at Mutanda Mining S.A.R.L. a Glencore company in the Democratic Republic of Congo at their joint medical department since 19 July 2018.During this time we had 4 medical facilities (clinics and a hospital) in Kolwezi and Lubumbashi where we provided free healthcare to all the employees and their dependents of the Glencore companies in the area. We served a population of around 50 000 people. We were 235 employees working at the joint medical department. It was a privilege to have met these amazing people from the DRC, to serve them to the best of my abilities and live in their beautiful and energetic country. They welcomed us with open arms and I left with a heart full of memories and friends I will keep for life. Show less
