  Jon provides leadership support for seven Corporate Craft Development Managers responsible for strategic planning, design, development, and delivery of craft and supervisor development curriculum and activities. Focus areas include instructor led training, on-line development, practical application training, leadership development, and site/project collaboration to identify and support craft and supervisor development needs across the enterprise.In support of Craft and Supervisor Development, Jon has provided leadership in the development and successful execution of two internal Zachry Craft Development Centers. Both strategically located, with one in Deer Park, TX and the other at Zachry’s home office in San Antonio, TX. While being a technical training program for pipefitting and pipe welding, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality, the principal focus has been leadership development. Over a four year period, the Craft Development Centers combined to graduate over 300 employees. All who have advanced their technical and leadership skills. Show less Jon provided guidance and leadership for 8 - 10 Corporate Safety Support Managers, responsible for over 7,500 employees at more than 70 locations. Areas of focus and responsibility included, compliance, assessments, audits, personnel management, focus initiatives, proactive initiatives and other division support. He delivered strategic leadership for site safety personnel, as well as, facilitating collaboration with the Corporate Safety team and Operational Management team to develop strategic planning for Health and Safety improvement initiatives. Jon provided leadership for reporting processes and the utilization of key data to develop and initiate emphasis programs. Show less As the Business Unit’s primary safety manager, Jon was responsible for providing supportive leadership and direction to fourteen sites and their safety staffs, with an accumulated employee count of 1,800. He ensured sites collaborated as a team, with safety as their core value. Jon led the team in establishing and maintaining a positive Zachry culture, which emphasized integrity, trust and service. He influenced and monitored the successful implementation and execution of Zachry’s core safety processes and programs. Jon excelled at developing and maintaining superior customer relationships, as well as, understanding the synergies between customer approaches to safety and Zachry’s approach at each individual job site. Show less Jon managed the Health and Safety Program for Maintenance Services, Capital Projects, and Turnaround work at multiple sites in the Greater Houston ship channel area. He developed and managed the implementation of site safety plans, maintained all OSHA logs and managed the training program for regulatory compliance. Jon managed all safety related records and provided a monthly summary and trend analysis report to monitor the effectiveness of the safety program. Additionally, he conducted new employee orientations and provided industrial hygiene monitoring, hazard assessments and accident prevention methods for field personnel, and facilitated accident investigations.
