Interfaced with senior Navy leadership and the junior sailor in supporting the operation and maintenance of the installed gas turbine equipment aboard ship. This specialization requires extensive experience and training. • Functioned as Assistant Material Officer for Destroyer Squadron 24, ensuring the fleet demonstrated superior material readiness.• Oversaw maintenance and repair for all gas turbine ships homeported at Naval Station Mayport, FL as Intermediate Gas Turbine Repair Shop Leader. Collaborate with foreign shipbuilders and governments to support new ship programs for foreign navies.• Influenced product management and systems engineering and successfully corrected a water intrusion problem on the gas turbine fuel metering valve. • Coordinated field service activities to support the customer during engine installation and commissioning for ten ships for the US and Royal Australian Navies. Show less Oversaw the installation, commissioning and testing of LM2500 gas turbine equipment to verify that the equipment was installed correctly and met performance expectations for both foreign and domestic naval customers. Provided warranty support to maximize the availability of customer equipment so that they met operational commitments. • Planned and executed the installation and commissioning of the gas turbine generator sets aboard the Royal Australian Navy’s LHD class ships, a first for GE Marine.
