      Recruiters are some of the most important workers in the Army, since they talk to those potentially interested in joining, teaching them about the Army and how becoming a soldier might be a good career option. Recruiters conduct face to face prospecting at events such as career fairs and school presentations. The ability to build a referral basis is critical in the recruiters success. Combat Engineers provide construction and engineering support. Engineers locate and neutralize traps to ensure mobility of combat teams as well as design and construct roadways, buildings and perimeters under limited time constraints. Combat Engineers also train mentor and supervise Soldiers of lesser rank.

      The S3 has staff responsibility for planning the operations, organization, and training as directed by the commander. The S3 writes operational directives and plans and writes tactical orders, field training exercises, and training schedules. The S3 prepares courses of action and recommends actions or decisions to the commander for the accomplishment of the mission. Battle Staff qualified which is the military training for project management.

      The Military Outreach Department is the face of CSU to our nation’s Military and Veterans. Outreach Reps meet with prospective students and Education Staff at Military installations, conferences, education fairs and other locations that are deemed appropriate. The primary goal of the department is to build relationships with Military education professionals and work directly with prospective Military students, assisting them in achieving their educational goals. Outreach Reps are responsible for their assigned region, set up their travel, visits and maintain their territories. They are positioned to work with all Military installations in the United States and its territories. Outreach Reps are responsible for researching and selecting appropriate education fairs/conferences and other venues to effectively market CSU.
