    • Siem Reap Food Response Coalition

      Apr 2020 - Feb 2021
      Logistics Coordinator and Database Manager

I started the Siem Reap Province Food Response Coalition in April 2020. In response to the COVID-19 economic crisis in Siem Reap Province, I worked to bring together individuals and organizations operating in food response in order to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of our work, discuss best practices, and find ways to determine more holistic solutions to this emergency. Through the establishment of this group, we are working together to identify large scale funding resources and develop agreements between organizations to come together and support food banks (primarily Genevieve's Fair Trade Food Bank) that we can partner with to ensure that no family goes hungry during the crisis. I am working with several volunteers to identify and reach out to groups and have developed a database that considers all operational NGOs in Siem Reap, the groups working specifically in food response, and in what capacity. The database will be rendered into two Siem Reap Province Response Maps. One that looks at all active NGOs and another that considers all food response organizations and individuals.I also organize the grant writing and editing groups supporting the expansion of the food banks and assist in grant research and writing. Lastly, I organize the meetings between all the partners to discuss our current food response work and to identify ways we can bring in resources and the local government, Show less

    • GoPhilanthropic Foundation

      Jun 2021 - Jun 2023
      Communications Specialist

GoPhilanthropic Foundation is an organization that has been in operation for over 10 years dedicated to supporting local and grassroots organizations focused on human rights, health care, and education. We are currently a team of 5. I report directly to our Development Manager and I support the media development, website and social media content, event marketing, and donor communications. At GoPhilanthropic, all of the members work part-time, prioritizing resources and funds for our partners. When I joined there was a lot of turnover since the original Co-Founders were moving away from day-to-day operations, and there was not a structure of guidelines in place for communications. Since joining, I have not only supported donor communications content and website updates, I have been instrumental in establishing their social media brand, their outreach plan, and have begun working on communications guidelines to maintain consistency in word usage and appearance. These efforts have translated to increased traffic on their website as well as an increase in monthly donors. In the future, I plan to complete communications guidelines, help implement a streamlined system for donor communications, and develop the first Communications strategic plan with the Development Manager.
