The Portfolio spans all business units in Retail and covers remediation of existing FATCA and CRS clients as well as developing solution for new to franchise on boarding in the Retail cluster. Determine the optimal approach for gathering requirements for systems and businesses to affect changes on all impacted front-end systems. Identify and manage cross-project dependencies, risks and issues and solutions whilst ensuring project managers deliver within budget, time and scope.I managed the Portfolio of 14 projects for Branch Networks Strategic Intent sponsored by the Managing Executive, with the objective of improving the Branch Network delivery of banking services to customers. The Portfolio tracked costs of R34mill and Benefits of R50mill (Headcount savings, Costs saving, Efficiencies). For NIC Project Office, I deployed project governance consisting of program and project governance, methodologies, capacity planning and project templates. I implemented governance and PMO o.b.o Head: NIC PMO into team of 12 Senior PM’s. In addition, I audited project management governance compliance of the team against governance process on weekly basis, reporting to Head and Exec of NIC Project OfficeI was also seconded to Nedbank Personal Loans upon request by Managing Executive to setup the Project Management Office where I created and implemented Governance, Methodologies, Quality Audit, etc. In addition, I also managed a Portfolio of 11 Projects identified to improve Personal Loan’s footprint in the market (and yield revenue increase and cost savings). I delivered the € 600,000 Real Time Gross Settlement system for Central Bank of Iceland as well as the $ 200,000 Central Securities Depositories and $ 600,000 Real Time Gross Settlement projects for the Central Bank of Egypt. Since RTGS (used for low volume, high value settlements) revolves around the credit-push principle, implementation is back-end driven. CSD, which involves the transferring of security certificate ownership through book entries electronically, required integration with bespoke developed collection and consolidation systems.
