      Branch Chief responsible for a team of currently nine (9) Contract Specialists responsible for cradle-to-grave design and construction projects at the Architect of the Capitol (AOC). AOC is responsible for the maintenance, operation and preservation of the nation's most iconic landmark buildings and grounds that comprise Capitol Hill. Our design and construction responsibilities include more than 17.4 million square feet of facilities and more than 587 acres of grounds. AOC is responsible for the maintenance, renovation and new construction of the buildings and grounds on Capitol Hill. I provide strategic planning of workload resources within my branch in order to execute critical projects to support Congress. Current active design and construction projects total over $600 million and include many politically sensitive projects. I'm also responsible for several "mega" projects, including:-Cannon House Office Building Renewal, a 10 year, five (5) phase whole building renewal that will provide an effective workplace for the next century to serve the needs of the U.S. House of Representatives and support Congressional operations. Contracts include full and open, best-value trade-off selection of a Construction Management as Constructor (CMc) Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP), Construction Management as Agent (CMa) Services, Design and Construction Administration Services, and numerous ancillary projects. When all options are exercised, the combined contract values will be approximately $752 million. -Dome Restoration, the first complete restoration since the Dome was built in 1959-1960 to correct more than 1,000 cracks and deficiencies due to age and weather degradation. Contracts include best-value trade-off of a Firm Fixed Price Construction, Construction Management Services, Design and Construction Administration Services.
