  I did a research in Biology where I worked with Drosophila melanogaster to see if the excess of exercise had a good or a bad effect on it. For this, we used a chamber called ExerFlyzer where our organisms did exercise in time intervals. I worked and Dr. Jim Vigoreaux's lab with Dr. Andrew Mead and the graduate student Ravi Nagori.

  The Student Research Development Center at the Universidad Metropolitana in San Juan, P.R. encourage pre-college students to choose their career in STEM through their early preparation in science and research experience.I'm working as a Biological Sciences and Ecology Research Mentor at the Saturday Research Academy, mentoring high school students through their researches about genetics, environmental science, zoology and other fields.

  I did a research project with Dr. Jorge Soberon called "Niche Analysis and Possible Effects of Climate Change on the Genus Lynx" at Ecology and Evolutionary Biology REU. We used Geographic Information System (GIS) to work on the mapping of the areas of distribution and R Programming to download occurrence data from the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF). Also, ArcMap was used to display the occurrence data and bioclimatic variables that where downloaded from WorldClim database.
