Miles for Migraine Races, a 2 mile walk/5K/10K run, was founded to:1. Raise public awareness about the problems of headache disorders, especially migraine, and the dearth of funding from the National Institutes of Health for research into their prevention, cause, and treatment. Less than 1/2 of 1% of the NIH budget is allocated to migraine research.2. Donate proceeds to fund physician fellowships in headache disorders at major medical centers.3. Build a community among headache sufferers, their families, friends, and other individuals who care to make a difference. Show less
