Show less Formed and mentored a team of deployment specialists to be capable of deploying a variety of projects. This process involved creating IT deployment strategies for the streamlined deployment of retail, warehouse, acquisition, supply, procurement and financial systems. Promoted to a senior deployment manager position and was continually assigned to large complex projects with intricate implementations and long rollouts. Determined production readiness requirements for production installation, support turnover and project closure. Created and executed detailed implementation and deployment rollout plans.  Reviewed and approved all documentation and programs prior to installation. Ensured smooth transition into production with no adverse impact to backstage or retail environments. Certified projects were ready for production installation on their 'live date'. Coordinated and completed training of the support groups and business users. Confirmed approval of user acceptance test results. Daily activities included vendor maintenance budget tracking and reporting; assessing production applications for end-of-life or replacement, risk or enhancement prospects, project reviews at significant milestones, plus preserving a relationship with the business to understand their goals, objectives, requirements and future direction. Volunteered to establish processes and procedures for smaller sized requests to identify benefits from the requesters, document the results, follow up on outstanding details, verify current status, track IT resources for updates and validate documents pre-SOX compliance audits. Seized ownership of several infrastructure related requests; managed, guided and successfully aided with scheduling and prompt completion to support the business.  Reviewed existing test waivers for opportunities to automate the process. Reviewed future implementations of other projects for possible negative impact. Show less Managed the Safeway Software Company Service (SSCSERV) team to fulfill all of the IT requests and Business requests for the Enterprise. Performed analysis to determine if a query could be written to satisfy the request or if a program was needed. Created a “how to” procedural manual to complete requests; inclusive of a library of queries and jobs created for repetitive requests. The manual proved to be valuable enough to enable a reduction of the team to one person; saving the company money and the ability to assign two people to other duties. Show less
