Developed a carbon electrode made by pyrolyzing local seaweed polysaccharides such as carrageenan. Analyzed and characterized theproperties of the electrode in a supercapacitor device using spectroscopy, microscopy andelectrochemical techniques.BPI DOST Science Award 2008.
