      - Served as Team Chief for a Civil Affairs Company deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF).- Operational Control (OPCON) to two Brigade Combat Teams (BCT), 3rd BCT, 1st AD, and 1st BCT, 4th ID in support of combat, counterinsurgency, and stability, and support operations in Taji, Iraq.- Advised and supported the three maneuver Task Force Commanders; 118th FA BN, 70th EN BN, and 1-66 AR BN in moral, legal, and humanitarian accountabilities with regard to the civilian population and Civil-Military Operations (CMO).- Oversaw humanitarian assistance projects, CMO activities with the local government, Non-Governmental and International Organizations (NGO/IO) operating in the sector.- Provided general and limited technical assessments to minimize civilian interference with military operations.- Superb performance was instrumental to multiple maneuver Battalions Task Force operations in the zone.- Proved to be a consummate Civil Affairs Team Leader to plan and conduct more than 500 civil-military operations and more than 150 combat patrols in the most populous area in the Brigade zone with a population of more than 1 million.- Developed comprehensive assessments of critical infrastructure and improved and updated those assessments through frequent patrols of the zone and interaction with the local citizenry.- Knowledge of the local governmental and tribal leadership and the maneuver elements relied on in developing relationships.- Led the Team to conduct numerous humanitarian assistance and consequence management missions in support of the Battalion and Brigade Task Force; due to natural ability to relate with the civilian populace leveraging them towards neutral to Coalition Forces and the pro-new Iraqi government.       - Served as Joint Humanitarian Assistance (HA) Excess Property Program Manager in the Civic Engagement Branch of the Engineer Division, Directorate of Logistics for the United States European Command.- Provided management, administrative and fiscal support to integrated EUCOM HA programs into the Theater Security Cooperation Plans, Country Cooperation Plans, and Mission Strategic Resource plans to promote regional stability and cooperation.- Managed the HA-Excess Property program and coordinated efforts with Humanitarian and Civic Assistance and Overseas Humanitarian Disaster Assistance and Civic Aid (HA-OHDACA) programs, as well as inter-agency and other humanitarian organizations to maximize the Department of Defense (DoD) humanitarian and strategic impact in 17 countries that are part of the area of influence,- Served as the expert on related Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) policy and guidance, theater, regional and country plans as well as operations plans that involve EUCOM HA; during a disaster, expensed Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA) funds in accordance with OSD directives.- Played a key role in coordinating all 12 HA missions the 457th Civil Affairs Battalion conducted during 2016.- Worked as a Civil Affairs Battalion Functional Specialty Cell Liaison to the EUCOM J4 Civic engagement branch, led the planning and coordination of Excess Property (EP) HA items donation to the Serbian Red Cross during the height of the Syrian migrant crisis.- Led the Battalion’s first Civil Affairs Team that accompanied the EP HA shipment to Serbia in February 2016 and also shaped Serbia’s first regional Civil-Military Co-operation (CIMIC) course.
