  Since retiring, I've written a book "A Bridge to Cross." It's a true story of survival as we, my mother and us children, ran for our lives to escape the Nazis and later the Soviets.As an author and artist, I have overcome great odds to achieve my dreams. We came to America without speaking a word of English. Entered High School with no command of the English language. Successfully graduated from High school. My mother suffered from PTSD, and possibly bipolar, making living at home extremely difficult.After my Navy days, I entered the University of Colorado. I lived at home and for unknown reasons, my mother threw me out of the house in the middle of a very cold winter.During my career as a law enforcement trainer, I entered the University of Indiana, earning my forensic diploma. Recently I've been invited as a guest speaker on numerous occasions. Due to my background, I would be well suited as a motivational speaker to help those, who have grown up in a dysfunctional family environment.
