  I worked for the biggest dog rescue in the south east. My duties included knowing information for over 300 dogs that were at the rescue and over 150 that were in foster. The ratio of dogs at the time were approximately 10 coming in and 30 being adopted out per week. Duties included receiving and approving adoption applications, delegating home visits,preparing go home packages , giving tours of the dogs on site, and basically anything else that needed done. Due to the amazing sponsorship of the rescue, Big Dog Ranch will take alot of the dogs who are set to be euthanized due to costly health issues such as heartworm, tick born diseases, parvo, pregnant mothers, and things of that nature. Adoptions worked very closely with the medical department and knowledge of any health or behavior issues past and present are essential with the adoptions process. Show less

  I help train the rescue dogs in an attempt to prevent any bad behavior that may lead to initial adopters returning the dog after being adopted out. I also work with the dogs who may seem unappealing while at adoption functions or expos.
