      Senior Director, Continuing Education Systems

Focused on the development and implementation of the new Continuing Education System (CES). Emphasis on increasing the quality, quantity, opportunities and knowledge among architects and related design professionals. Success was achieved by working closely with volunteers; committees, component leaders, industry education providers, A/E firms, universities and dedicated staff. For more than 14 year I worked with enthusiastic volunteers and firm members to create and deliver annual CES Firm Leadership Symposiums; Together with component executives and AIA members, we worked cooperatively with State licensing boards to establish reciprocal national MCE requirements and quality CE standards; During our national conventions and with a succession of creative staff we developed and managed the highly successful annual CES MarketPlace Expo and CES Provider training workshops; And because I worked with such capable and resourceful staff, I was enabled to present, coach, and/or facilitate at more than 400 national and international conferences, workshops and symposiums. Fine Artist

As a fine artist I am interested in a variety of subjects, finding myself drawn to landscapes and historic cityscapes. I paint to express inspiration, feelings and connections with people and places. My subjects are from a personal, expressive point of view, seeking to find and share a personal story with each painting and drawing. View additional work at: www.ThomLowtherArt.com
