Recently facilitated a successful Tax Increment Financing agreement between Wrentham and local business. Supervise interns assisting with economic development and other initiatives. *Review all applications filed with the Planning Board. Prepare technical review reports. Serve as liaison between the Planning Board, applicants and their representatives. Procure, oversee and coordinate engineering, traffic and other reviews by consultants under the provisions of MGL chapter 44, section 53G. *Work closely with Building Inspector/Zoning Enforcement Officer, DPW Superintendent and Town Administrator. Schedule and facilitate plan review departmental meetings, as well as pre-construction meetings for relevant town departments/staff.*Research grant opportunities and prepare grant applications, write consultant RFPs and oversee consultant efforts on various projects. Currently preparing MassWorks grant application for a large water line improvement project. *Involved in all aspects of the Town’s smart growth initiatives. Work with Planning Board and “smart growth” group to assist in the implementation phases of the Town’s 2004 Master Plan. Oversee the early phases of an update to the 2004 Master Plan.*Assist Zoning Board with large 40B application projects.   Taught senior level course in Geography Department (Geog 339: Methods for Planning Analysis and Plan Making).This course focused on the specific techniques of plan preparation and presentation, site plan review, and on the methods of involving local citizens in the planning process. Among the techniques included were site analysis, field surveys, mapping and graphics for data presentation, and organizing public participation workshops. The class included a discussion of current planning topics and problems. The emphasis of the course was the practice of community planning in the public realm; we looked closely at the various roles played by planners, elected officials, citizens, landowners, and private developers.
