Project successfully increased well spacing, provided clear estimates of production, ultimate recoveries, and first resource estimates, and justified addition of development resources (initially 3 drilling rigs), significantly increasing the value of horizontal play in the basin. • Managed cross functional team that successfully executed first 2 mile lateral well in DJ Basin that was under budget and surpassed production expectations.• Led team that negotiated trades with Anadarko and PDC of 50,000/10,000 acres respectively (value exceeded $1B), leading the way for industry to begin making large trades.• Represented Noble on planning committee with 6 other oil and gas operators and the Colorado Oil and Gas Commission to create Wattenberg Basin horizontal drilling rules and standards. • Directed team developing all well plans (up to 12 rigs) and led sanctioning of northern Colorado extension of DJ Basin resulting in a value add of $2B.
