Responsibilities included: -developing the technology, business model -performing market research in Nyeri -Developed glucose sensing ink prototype-awarded first prize in the Penn State College of IST's startup competition.-Paper submitted and accepted for HumTech conference 2015 -Worked on project to determine microsatellite stability of tetranucleotide repeats in mammalian cells, -Isolating replication intermediates, running 2D agarose gels, southern blots. -Obtained radiation safety training.-Awarded Discovery and REU grants. Worked in an X-ray Crystallography Lab to crystalize a yeast histone modifying enzyme. Became adept at basic biochemical techniques such as cloning, PCR, mutagenesis, running gels, protein expression & purification.
