   Overall in-charge/head of the deck department onboard. Responsible cargo officer on board ship, cargo planning regarding loading and unloading of oil cargoes ,Supervision of complete cargo operation and directing the junior officer and support staff onboard to ensure safe and efficient cargo operations. In-charge of communication/dealing with terminal representatives, loading masters, cargo surveyors etc during the entire cargo operations in port. In-charge of cargo paper work after completion of the cargo operations keeping in mind the company and charter party requirements. To plan and implement the strategies for energy conservation, fuel optimization, to reduce vessel’s operating cost. Responsible for preparing the vessel for audits and inspections regarding safety, environmental, health and quality by Shell, BP, Chevron etc. Have formed a team and delegate the task to officers and crew to make a team effort to achieve the success in same. Responsible and prepared the vessel for Class annual & periodical audits / inspections, ISPS & ISM audits & inspections, Certificate of Compliance (TVEL) inspections by USCG, SIRE, Quarterly Navigational audits aboard by master & internal ISM audits by company superintendents. These were very much achievable by issuing corrective actions & non- conformity in relevance to flag sate & port state requirements. Designated Safety Officer on board. Responsible for safety inspections, Near miss reporting’s, Risk assessment, Root cause analysis, and effectively implementing company’s Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policy onboard.. Gained valuable hands on training in testing & inspections of machineries & equipment aboard Prior, during & post the vessel’s dry dock.
