  I gained work experience at the Spanish labour union CCOO where I carried out administrative tasks and shadowed colleagues from various teams in the company.   I spent a short period working with the charity Rize Up to encourage students in Exeter University to register to vote before the 2019 General Election. This work gave me experience interacting with consumers in a new environment to that which I was used to, approaching and talking to people about a subject which I was very interested in.

  I created my own small jewellery business during the 2020 Covid lockdown, managing all aspects of the business from the creation of products to the marketing and selling both online and offline and and managing the financial side analysing my revenues and costs. This experience was so important to me both on professional and personal levels, giving me valuable understandings of a broad range in business management skills.

  I spent the majority of my year abroad in Barcelona working with Aureo, an application which creates audio summaries of business and self help books. My responsibilities included the creation of inbound links, SEO, content creation and administrative tasks. This experience played a major part in my understanding of the work carried out in an online-first business. As well as picking up many marketing specific skills I also furthered my knowledge of working within a team in a corporate setting, as opposed to my previous experiences working either for myself or in non-corporate or non-profitable settings. In addition I used this opportunity to improve my Spanish language skills, living in Barcelona for much of the time spent working for Aureo. Show less
