      Assisted in the production of company bids for the Richmond office of Suitt Construction Company (now BE&K). Typical projects were in the Industrial/Manufacturing/Distribution and Cold Storage Markets in the range of $1MM to $30MM. Analyzed blueprints, specifications, RFP's, proposals, and other documentation to prepare quantity surveys and cost estimates for products, projects, or services for design-build and hard bid projects by performing the following duties: development of subcontractor bid packages, clarifying and qualifying subcontractor proposals, managing RFI's, Addendums and Notifications during bid process, attending job walks and Pre-bid meetings, reading and understanding all spec books and plans, analyzing Value Engineering options for bid proposals, and assembling alternate bid requests. Concrete was self-performed. Other responsibilities included building and maintaining a Sub Contractor database to meet the needs of Gray Core Markets and their requirements (i.e. MBE /WBE, process piping, etc.), assisting in assembling costs for design build projects- this involved cost analysis of different construction methods and capturing the costs of A & E services, assisting change order reviews, creating budgetary quotes for customers with limited information and plans- this also included scope and quantity creation as needed to pull a budget together. Typical projects include Multi-family Apartments, Elderly Care, Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing Facilities. Client reporting requirements involved extensive Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat use.
