  I handle complex short term disability claims, which includes any diagnosis that will keep the claimant out of work for more than 6 weeks and up to 6 months. If the claimant remains out of work beyond the 6 months time frame, I then pass their claim to a long term disability case manager for continued care. I am frequently in contact with the claimant, employer, and physician via phone, email, and letters, and as such must maintain a professional image at all times. As part of this position, I work closely with my direct team, helping them with claims and other tasks as needed, as well as the associated long term disablity teams. I worked in conjunction with the training development team on maintaining our intranet websites and updating training information as needed.   I am a client-aligned analyst in Cerner's tier 3 technical support group, Application Managed Services, specifically working with the registration software. As a client-aligned analyst, I work with some of our largest clients in the US, as well as our UK and Ireland based clients. I specialize in the front end conversations and worklists, investigating VB6 and VB.Net framework rules, CCL-based worklists, person and encounter level relationships, etc. I also work to train new associates and our tier 2 counterparts to better understand the registration software, and provide better documentation on how functionality works (and why). I also work closely with our Problem Management team to ensure we are proactively identifying and fixing issues before our clients even notice them.
