  Developed engineering techniques as part of a work experience placement at JSA Consulting Engineers, a structural and civil engineering business. I got to witness how a project moves from initial ideas to the final constructed building. I attended meetings between the client, consultants, contractors and consumers, seeing first-hand the problems that occur when trying to produce a building that fulfils the architect’s vision and client’s requirement yet was structurally suitable.
