      Dining Room Manager/ City Management Trainer

      Managed the city’s busiest dining rooms in addition to training other Dining Room managers while overseeing the hiring, training, supervision, scheduling, and leadership of 70 of the 120 employees who worked in the restaurant. Managed 18 servers, 3 bus staff, 2 bartenders, 4 hostesses and a cashier as we served over 1200 clients a week. Conducted effective and meaningful performance evaluations for all the front of house staff and created change with that often misused HR tool.       As the lead Hospitality instructor for more than 8.5 years, I taught all of course required to gain a diploma in International Hospitality Management, becoming a Faculty Member of the Education Institute of the American Hotel and Lodging Association in January 2002. During that time period I trained hundreds of students, domestic as well as international.For the hospitality program, I taught the following courses; Food and Beverage Management, International Hotel Development and Management, Managing Front Office Operations, Managing for Quality in the Hospitality Industry, Resort Development, Human Resources Management, Financial Accounting, Marketing for the Hospitality Industry, Convention Management and Services, Managing Technology in the Hospitality Industry , Hospitality Supervision, Leadership and Management in the Hospitality Industry. In addition to that, I also taught Business Diploma Program courses including Marketing, Bookkeeping Principles, Sales & Presentation Skills, Human Resources, as well as several computer programs and job readiness courses. Provided on-campus support to students in a receptive, positive, learning-oriented environment and participated in campus activities designed to encourage student success and student maintenance.
