  A result of 3 internal promotions, as the Marine Mammal Operations – Manager, reporting to the Senior Manager. With direct line responsibility for 11, responsible for the complete care and wellbeing of a large group of Indo Pacific Bottlenose Dolphins. As the Manager, responsibilities include all aspects of providing day to day leadership and guidance to the team (including recruitment, promotion, appraisals and disciplinary issues).Key Responsibilities - Technical/operational:• Overseeing the trainers for dolphins including: all diet adjustments, husbandry training, show training, enrichment and records.• Developed a detailed step-by-step plan for training new behaviours and utilise it to start, shape, and finish the behaviours with dolphins.• Ensuring the highest standards of animal husbandry and habit and facility maintenance.• Sourcing/overseeing the safe transportation of new animals. • Assisting in animal restraint and transports for medical procedures. • Working with marketing to implement marketing campaigns designed to build attendance and brand awareness. As a brand ambassador, involved with overseeing and participating in photo shoots, videos and interviews.• Overseeing the planning/developing and executing any internal events.• Conducting shallow, deep water and scuba dive interactions.• All aspects of interaction and providing stellar customer service to guests.Key achievements: • An integral member of the pre-opening team, responsible for assisting with all aspects of the pre-opening, including working with ‘green’ animals and training all husbandry and interaction programs from scratch.• Improved Department performance through mentoring and training of staff.• Promoted 3 times from MMS 4 to Manager.
