      Jan 2012 - now

In 2012, my business partner and I launched Hidden Harvest, a social purpose business to rescue fruit and nuts that would otherwise go to waste, through volunteer-driven harvest events. In the early years, my efforts were particularly focused on the development of our vision and mission, involving key stakeholders early on in our development, business plan creation, development of all communications materials including branding, marketing, media relations and social media management, the development and delivery of public engagement strategy and volunteer training program. We have worked with the municipal government and private land owners to create an efficient system to connect excess fruit with those who would like to pick it. We have now engaged more than 2,000 volunteers and rescued more than 40,000lbs of food. I continue to support Hidden Harvest in an advisory and management capacity part-time through my role on the Advisory Committee. Show less
