      I did 2 weeks work experince at this company. I was introduced into a business enviroment for the first time and really enjoyed the experience. The staff there taught me a lot about the workings of an established business. I learnt about different departments there from sales and marketing, from design to manufacturing. I met all the staff there and they were very helpful in giving me help in anything that i needed. Overall, the experince has given me the drive to be successful in business in the future. Show less

      I was the Sales Manager at Direct Computers. I picked up a lot of good business skills during my time at this company, it gave me a foothold in business. During my time at Direct Computers I was in charge of Sales and Tele-Sales for the company. The tasks that I faced were to introduce potential clients into the business and explain how our services could benefit their own. With the unique design team we had, we were able to show some examples of what work we would do for them. It was also my task oversee the Tele-Sales campaign for the company and build the client database. I enjoyed my time there and am still in contact with the staff there. Show less

I am now a certified IT Professional and have a Microsoft recognised qualification named the MTA in networking, enabling me to diagnose networking faults and come up with a solution quickly to rectify the issue.The CompTIA A+ qualification which entitles me to troubleshoot issues software and hardware issues with machines and come up with a solution to fix the problem.I am also competent in customer service tasks as well by listening to the customer's problem and finding a suitable path of action to take to ensure that the customers needs are met.There were other aspects of the course that have given me the knowledge and experience in using Active Directory and creating and maintaining user accounts on networks.These skills are essential in day to day business based around IT establishments and any other sector that requires good customer service.       I worked for the Dixons Retail group as a sales colleague. The job needed great customer service and the ability to deal with the all enquiries in pressurised situations. I was on the other end of the phone when the customer rings the contact centre to enquire about a product, a customer who wants to place an order or to reserve a product in one of the Currys or PC World stores throughout the UK.I dealt with the Cover plan side of the business too. The aspect of this task is to help the customer renew or set up a new maintenance agreement for their product. I dealt with the retention of business for this particular aspect which requires great communicational skills in which the customer can think about the benefits of the agreement they are about to cancel and potentially continue with the cover.I enjoyed working in the business as every day presents a new challenge and I was always competent in making sure that the customer always walks away a happy customer.
