  As part of the fellowship, I along with piers at UCL will be Working on individual projects based around the UN sustainability and development goals. I have been designated "Emerging Technologist" which means I am to research into innovative Technological based solutions in the fight against the likes of global poverty and climate change. Additionally I am leading an expedition to the Wahiba Sands of Oman, hoping to raise awareness smaller nomadic groups inparticular the Bedu and understand how their lives have been affected through modernisation. This will be placed in context by examining the journeys of Wilfred Thesiger through the region and comparing it to the present day. Show less
