      Mentor

Extended Mentorship Program (EMP) is an initiative by the Placement Cell with the objective of creating a platform to help students in achieving a smooth transition from the university into the development sector through fostering relationships between alumni mentors and students. EMP achieves this by bringing together alumni mentors and student mentees through a mentorship program for one year after graduating from the university, thus helping the mentees to stick with the organization that they join through the Placement Cell for a prolonged period. The critical component of the Placement Cell at Azim Premji university is to mentor the student and transform them into eligible development sector practitioners. Mentoring Program is designed to help all the students by connecting them with the alumni community who wants to stay involved and give back. Alumni mentors serve as guides for student mentees to achieve both long and short-term goals. Simultaneously, alumni mentors contribute to the professional and personal development of the graduating students. Show less

Peoples and nations have to join forces for the development of a universal global consciousness free from stereotypes and prejudices. The International Decade for the Rapprochement of Cultures is to be understood as a commitment for addressing this pressing need to take into account and clearly demonstrate new articulations between cultural diversity and universal values. The “rapprochement of cultures” implies that international security and social inclusion cannot be attained sustainably without a commitment to such principles as human dignity, conviviality and solidarity which are the corner stones of human coexistence, in all faiths and secular ideologies.
