For example both of the sites I worked improved visibility by repairing all overhead lights I noted in logs as broken. I obtained additional certification to carry a Taser, Handcuffs and Pepper Spray to better ensure the safety of employees or patrons on any property I was guarding.Starting in Feb 2016 I worked 40hrs a week until I gave notice. While employed I took no time off.

  Public Safety Officer

  This job has been a challenging and rewarding experience - it's been an amazing experience to support emergency services during crises and save lives - but I am looking for a job with more internal promotional opportunities. In my various positions on site my work duties have included: security services, public safety, on-duty dispatcher, and, incident reporting. In April of 2018 I was promoted to the position of shift supervisor until June of 2019 when I stepped down from the position to assist my recovery from a personal event. I am still scheduled to cover supervisory shifts when needed.As a Public Safety Officer my job can include keeping the peace, providing first-aid and includes post-emergency situation reporting and reporting on potential safety hazards - the site inspections and safety checks our staff performed during the remodeling of the mall's interior and exterior spaces have been a critical service to the property owners. Working as a Dispatcher I've honed my communication skills to ensure fast and rapid transfer of critical information as well serving as a point of contact for inter office and staff wide information flow. I've also strived to increase the efficacy of written communications as it's a perfect opportunity to recognize when, such as now, a sentence has gone on too long.When I'm scheduled as a Supervisor I am responsible for ensuring routine daily checks are completed by myself and the staff - I'll assign any incident calls & reports as they occur. During an emergency situation I delegate officer responses and ensure property prioritization in response to the situation. I will also complete or assign any additional work requested from the property managers or as delegated by the Security Office Account Manager or the Assistant Account Manager. While working as a supervisor in 2018 I updated the daily forms used in completing the routine checks to ensure contract compliance with the property owners. Show less
