The Committee role is to develop a Legislative and Regulatory Agenda for the IEC National Association that will serve to protect the Merit Shop Electrical Industry against damaging legislation or regulations and also develop and promote legislation and regulations that will aid our members and their Businesses. As merit shop contractors, there are always Legislative issues that directly impact Electrical Contractors. Labor, energy, taxes, jobs, and workforce development are all major political issues taking place at the national level that have the ability to greatly affect the electrical contracting industry.       I served as the Founding Director of Education for the NJ-IEC Apprenticeship and Training Program for 4+ years. Under my Leadership the NJ-IEC Apprentice Program grew from 1 to 3 classrooms with labs in East Brunswick NJ and from zero to a projected 90 Apprentices. I led the development of a second Apprentice Training location in Clementon NJ and conducted preliminary negotiations for a 3rd Apprentice location projected for Fairlawn NJ all in less than 4 years. I successfully cultivated numerous partnerships with major manufacturers and service providers all of who, provided their full financial and material support to the NJ-IEC Electrical Apprentice Training program. Under my Leadership as Director of Marketing in 4 short years the NJ Independent Electrical Contractors Association Membership grew from 40 to over 200+ total members in 4 short years. Show less

      New Jersey IEC is a National Trade Association for Electrical Contractors. NJ Department of Education and Department of Labor has approved NJ IEC to open a 4-year private Electrical Apprentice School. NJ-IEC Apprentice School is the first private 4-year Electrical Apprentice School Program in the State of New Jersey. Graduates from IEC Electrical Apprentice Program are Eligible to receive 47 College Credits with an estimated value of $44,650.00. I served as the Founding Director of Education for the NJ-IEC Apprenticeship and Training Program for 4+ years. Under my Leadership the NJ-IEC Apprentice Program grew from 1 to 3 classrooms with labs in East Brunswick NJ and from zero to a projected 90 Apprentices.
