  Primary role:• Developed the RSAF's data strategy to drive growth in data management and data analytics capabilities• Pioneered the use of Microsoft tools (SharePoint, Access, VBA) for developing lightweight applications in an extremely constrained IT environment, and led the way in developing numerous applications for operational units• Pioneered a technique to build and serve React apps on SharePoint, and developed the organisation's first React app using this technique. The app enabled our parent department to manage its Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).• Developed RavenPoint - a SharePoint REST API clone built with Flask - to help developers build React apps on an external environment before compiling them.Concurrent roles:• Led a study to predict the probability of individual retention. The study involved statistical analysis of personnel career and survey data, and employed machine learning to generate predictions.• Served as the technical lead in the COVID-19 Home Recovery Task Group's Data Management Cell. Led the development of a data pipeline that (a) ingested data from FormSG, Zendesk, and internal systems, and (b) generated reports that provided a summarised account of all individuals with COVID-19 on home recovery, which comprised the majority of cases. These reports were used to keep the national leadership updated on Home Recovery operations. The study contributed valuable knowledge to enhance the selection of pilots from as early on as Basic Military Training.   Served as a software engineer on the ScamShield product team:• Developed and deployed a phishing detection Machine Learning model to improve the classification of scam messages by detecting and analysing potentially malicious webpages• Enhanced the ScamShield WhatsApp Bot ("Oscar") by implementing and/or upgrading new flows: (a) improved separate flows for checking and reporting scams, and (b) display of stats to allow users to see their impact on the community• Upgraded the ScamShield Android and iOS apps with additional capabilities to speed up detection of potential scam messages• Designed several product metrics and implemented a dashboard in Datadog to track them in real-time• Migrated the product's CI/CD pipeline from Travis to GitHub Actions• Worked cross-functionally with the PM and designer.
