  Ran an action sports lifestyle brand for a couple years. Learned a little bit of everything!Social Media Marketing- - Maintained Facebook page, implemented ads, created/ shared all content, developed contests for increased sharing. Ran some Facebook groups, one public and then a couple private for people contributing art/ music. In one month, built Instagram following to 3800 real followers, with many active users using our unique hashtag and engaging in contests. Guerilla Marketing- - Stickers. Lots of stickers. Merchandising-- Responsible for ordering/ selecting apparel for customization, dealing with many aspects of the industry. Maintained relationships with distributors. Sales- - Sold apparel online, in several stores, and by hand. Learned how to get denied, methods of selling, what people liked/ didn't like, what factors drove a person to actually buy something. Set up in places like the parking lot of a mountain, at a local music show, at a local trade show, the steps of the Brower Commons, out of my truck, out of my house, out of my locker in high school, anywhere I could be. Team-- Worked directly, whether it was paid or unpaid, with many different people. Sponsored several music artists, with apparel, sometimes stickers, sometimes custom shirts. Sponsored action sports athletes with apparel/ stickers. Worked with many different photographers/ videographers, for apparel photo shoots and action shoots. Worked with different employees, mainly friends. Discovered what made people show up to work on time.   I ran my own custom printed apparel company. One man show, with the help of friends. I handled the marketing (social media, flyers, posters, website), customer service/ sales (e-mails, phone, meetings), product development (the science of screen printing, dealing with wholesale distributors/ sales reps, contracting art jobs out/ dealing with artists, ordering merchandise), accounting (paying employees, cash flow, accounting basics, Quickbooks). Basically, keep a bunch of positive relationships, especially with those in the band.
