Our group's business is to develop state of the art, innovative and effective solutions for our clients, in primarily the defence industry. I manage two multi-disciplinary teams of engineers, to develop complex systems from concept, to delivery to our client. I also still actively do research and development to the level of CAD design and programming. I worked as the lead electronic design engineer in a highly complex multi-year defense project, culminating in the installation of our system on strategic defense platforms. I was part of a concurrent design team and was therefore extensively exposed to logistic and systems engineering. Having gone through the full life cycle of such a system, from concept to actual operational system, I have personally experienced a lot of the pitfalls that hamper such projects.
