  PUBLIC HEALTH RESEARCH AND ANALYSIS:- Worked collaboratively to conduct analysis of food insecurity in the county including collecting data on food insecurity prevalence, assessing emergency food resources, developing and conducting a survey of emergency food recipients, and summarizing local efforts to increase healthy food access. This information was compiled into a report with policy and strategy recommendations and presented to a food security working group of ten county leaders. - Conducted analysis of the local food system including food retail environment, food system labor analysis, agricultural statistics, food security measures, and health statistics of county residents to inform decision making of the local food policy council.PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION AND DELIVERY:- Managed, taught, and evaluated a six-week cooking and nutrition class to 12 low-income parents and their children focused on obesity prevention and local foods. - Developed and implemented a two-day training seminar for 25 childcare center chefs on utilizing fresh local produce, budgeting, and menu planning to facilitate successful implementation of a local farm-to-childcare initiate serving underserved communities.
