  I was first employed as a catering assistant and then when I turned 18 in 2010 I became a Bar and Catering assistant. This job role involved various duties ranging from waitressing, assisting in the kitchen with food preparation, serving alcoholic beverages and dealing with general front of house enquiries for golf memberships, events and venue hire. My responsibilities increased as I became more experienced over the years, being given full control in the management of front of house aspects. I began to take a great interest in advertising the golf club, using my own initiative to promote our services through social media sites like Facebook and Twitter. The outcome of this was successful, and I managed to generate a vast number of enquiries and bookings as a means to boost their revenue. Show less

  Accountant Assistant

  I prepare both manual accounts on Microsoft Excel and accounts on the software QuickBooks. I am responsible for all bookkeeping duties, including the input of sales and purchase invoices and posting both the income received and bank payments made against the relevant customer/supplier invoices. From here, I am then able to reconcile bank accounts and credit cards in order to prepare & file VAT returns, and manage the company’s credit control.At year-end I am responsible for posting payroll journals, year-end adjustment journals and reconciling the PAYE & VAT control accounts.I have had some exposure to the preparation of management accounts, with experience in running & analysing management reports to compare both P&L and Balance Sheet accounts on a quarterly basis.
