  I worked with the Railway Rolling Stock Unit on several projects mainly supporting the design team with one week training in tooling and production.Activities and skills developed: • Gained valuable insight into the product development process: from customer requirements to product delivery. • Basic CAD modelling and drafting using CATIAV5.• Knowledge on composite design, resin types, manufacturing process selection. • Evaluating the feasibility of a design and the manufacturability of it through product design reviews. • Product validation: planned and prepared endurance test procedures for a number of systems inside the toilet cabins (Door mechanisms, door locks, mirror doors, etc.).Also prepared test procedures for climatic testing and shock and vibration.
