  Bishop Gadsden is a retirement community located on James Island in Charleston, SC. There are different phases of living located inside the community including: Independent Living (either in cottages or apartments), Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing Unit, and the Memory Unit. I worked as an intern at Bishop Gadsden for 160 hours. While I was there, I worked under the Activities Coordinator and the Community Life Services Director. I worked hands on with mainly the residents living in The Skilled and Memory Units at Bishop Gadsden. My duties included but we're not limited to helping residents with activities, getting them around campus, or just spending one on one time with them.
